THE DREAMINg ROOM

Every house needs a room with nothing to do in it.

Not a room for tasks, or goals, or anything that could be ticked off a list. A room for the in-between. For lying back and watching the light move across the ceiling. For thoughts that don't need to go anywhere in particular.

This is that room.

There is a bed here, and a window, and not much else. No notifications. No agenda. Just enough quiet for your own mind to finally hear itself.

I think most of us have forgotten what unscheduled time feels like.

We have gotten so good at filling every gap — with tasks, with scrolling, with being useful to someone — that the empty moments have nearly disappeared. And the empty moments, it turns out, are where almost everything important happens. The clarity. The ideas. The quiet realisations that arrive only when nobody is asking anything of you.

This room exists to protect that kind of time.

I don't come here to solve anything. I come here to let things settle.

A long walk with no destination. An afternoon with a book I'm not in a hurry to finish. A morning where the only plan is to watch the birch trees move in the wind for a while.

Slowness is not laziness. It is where the next chapter quietly begins.

Stay as long as you like. 🌸
